AKKA Cricket League (ACL 2024)<\/h3><\/div>[vc_empty_space height=”10px”][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner][vc_column_text]The Association of Kannada Kootas of America (AKKA) is indeed organizing a cricket tournament as part of the 12thWorld Kannada Conference (WKC) 2024. It\u2019s a great opportunity for cricket enthusiasts and Kannadigas to come together and celebrate through the sport. This event promises to be a celebration of sportsmanship and camaraderie among the Kannadiga community across the USA.<\/p>\n

AKKA encourages everyone who loves cricket and cherishes Kannada culture to be a part of this grand celebration. We eagerly await your participation and are confident that your contribution will make this tournament a grand success.<\/p>\n

Outlined below are the key aspects of the tournament’s organization and execution strategy. Further details will be communicated to you in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n

1. Tournament Phases:<\/strong> The event will unfold in two primary stages.
\nStage 1 – Regional Qualifiers: Teams registered within their respective zones will compete in a qualifying round. The victorious team from each zone will advance to the subsequent stage.
\nStage 2 – National Knockouts: Winners from each zone are required to convene in Virginia for the knockout rounds, which will culminate in the semifinals and finals on July 14th 2024 (Sunday).<\/p>\n

2. Zone Formation:<\/strong> Zones will be strategically created based on logistical considerations and geographical proximity, subsequent to the receipt of registrations. Zones are created based on the Team entries received on first come first serve basis.<\/p>\n

3. Team and Individual Registration:<\/strong> We strongly encourage team registrations. Nevertheless, individuals without a team are also welcome to register. Please indicate “Individual” in the Team Name field, and we will assign you to a team prior to the commencement of the tournament.<\/p>\n

4. Registration Criteria:<\/strong> Participants must be,
\ni. Kannadiga \/ Relative of a Kannada family.
\nii. Must be a an associated member of the Regional Kannada Association.
\niii. 18 years and above.
\niv. Semifinals and Final qualified teams should have at least minimum of 6 team members registered to WKC2024 (AKKA Convention 2024)<\/p>\n

5. Registration Fees:<\/strong> A fee of $25 per player is applicable for participants registered for WKC 2024, while $50 per player is charged for those not registered for the event.<\/p>\n

6. Governing Body:<\/strong> The AKKA 2024 Sports Committee holds the authority to make executive decisions that align with the tournament’s best interests.<\/p>\n
