{"id":4195,"date":"2024-05-13T09:18:57","date_gmt":"2024-05-13T13:18:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/akkaonline.org\/2024\/?page_id=4195"},"modified":"2024-07-06T01:17:53","modified_gmt":"2024-07-06T05:17:53","slug":"akka-pageant-2024","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/akkaonline.org\/2024\/akka-pageant-2024\/","title":{"rendered":"AKKA PAGEANT 2024"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1518762801031{margin-top: 20px !important;}&#8221;][vc_column][vc_single_image image=&#8221;4552&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221;][vc_empty_space height=&#8221;60px&#8221;]<div class=\"themeum-title  committee-titlebg\" style=\"text-align:center;\"><h3 class=\"style-title\" style=\"margin:-20px 0 10px 0;padding:4px 0 4px 0;font-size:18px;line-height: normal;color:#ffffff;\">Participation Criteria<\/h3><\/div>[vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner][vc_column_text]<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Pageant is open to all NRIs who are registered attendees for AKKA 2024 in Richmond Virginia (Aug 30 &#8211; Sep 1 2024)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0There will be two AKKA Pageant categories for women:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Mrs AKKA (25+ Years\u00a0 and married\/widowed\/divorced\/separated)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Miss AKKA (16-25 years and unmarried)\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><b>Note:\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you are under 25 and married &#8211; currently or in the past &#8211; please choose Mrs AKKA category<\/span><\/i><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you are above 25 and not married &#8211; currently or in the past &#8211; please choose Mrs AKKA category<\/span><\/i><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The pageant will consist of Introduction, Walk, Talent and Question &amp; Answer rounds.\u00a0 <\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1714644741863{margin-top: 20px !important;}&#8221;][vc_column]<div class=\"themeum-title  committee-titlebg\" style=\"text-align:center;\"><h3 class=\"style-title\" style=\"margin:-20px 0 10px 0;padding:4px 0 4px 0;font-size:18px;line-height: normal;color:#ffffff;\">Pageant Rounds<\/h3><\/div>[vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner][vc_column_text]<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The pageant consists of the following rounds and will be held at the convention.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Introduction<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kannada language preferred + extra points for using Kannada<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">)<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A 45 second intro about you and why you plan to participate in the Pageant.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Walk<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Indian and\/or Western Attire.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Talent<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kannada language preferred + extra points for using Kannada<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">)<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Maximum 2-min (120-sec) talent time where each contestant can showcase their talent.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Question &amp; Answer Round<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The top finalists from each category will also participate in the Q&amp;A round.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For each category, based on the judges&#8217; decision, there will be a winner, first runner-up and second runner-up.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In addition, there will be multiple titles that will be awarded to the top finalists &#8211; <\/span><b>Mrs\/Miss. Talented, Mrs\/Miss. Photogenic,<\/b> <b>Mrs\/Miss. Beautiful Smile<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><b>Mrs\/Miss. Catwalk<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><b>Mrs\/Miss. Best Dressed<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><b>Mrs\/Miss. Confidence<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. There will also be an online voting for the <\/span><b>Mrs\/Miss.
