The Association of Kannada Kootas of America (AKKA), established in 1998, is a non-profit, educational, linguistic, and cultural organization representing the NRI diaspora from Karnataka, India. With the support of over 200,000 members across forty-plus regional Kannada Kootas in North America, AKKA is dedicated to promoting and preserving the Kannada language and culture.
Beyond cultural initiatives, AKKA is deeply committed to social responsibility, contributing significant donations to causes in both India and the United States. By integrating, coordinating, and uniting Kannadigas across North America, AKKA continues to serve as the leading voice and platform for preserving Kannada heritage for generations to come.
