Selection Criteria
- Registration open to all NRIs.
- All participants must be registered attendees for AKKA 2024.
- Entries will be grouped according to age as of June 30, 2024, with separate awards for each Group.
- Upload your song /video on YouTube and send us a link to idol@akkaonline.org.
- Note: We will be making a YouTube playlist based on age group for the judges. Since Kids videos cannot be added to a playlist, please make sure your YouTube video is marked “NOT suitable for kids”.
- In the email, please send us the participant’s name, age and AKKA registration ID.

Singing Idol (For ages 8 & above)
- Upload a video recording of a Kannada song in any genre (Classical, Janapada, Bhaavageethe, Cinema, etc). Do not sing with karaoke tracks, tamburi Shruti can be used if needed.
- Do not use or add audio effects to your voice recordings.
- Length of the video should be maximum 3 mins long.
- Entries must include Registration IDs along with other specified details.
- All entries along with the video link must be received in the specified format by June 30, 2024.
- Preliminary rounds will be in July 2024. Dates and time and other logistics will be communicated after the deadline depending on the number of participants.
- Semifinals will be held live on Aug 31st at the convention location.
- Top 3 will be selected from the list of finalists from all age groups after a live performance at AKKA 2024.
- The winner, first runner-up and second runner-up in and all age groups will be announced on the final day of AKKA 2024.
- Winners will get a chance to perform solo and all participants in a group song.
