Film Begin: This film is presented at the AKKA WKC 2024 Kannada Short Film Competition.

• A person of any age can submit the movie.
• Submissions will not be accepted without the entry form(s).
• The duration of films must be a maximum of 8 minutes including starting and ending credits.
• Films should have no explicit violence, sexual reference or coarse/obscene language and not be against any religious faith or any Kannada Kootas.
• Send a high-resolution poster of the film.
• Submissions received after the last date of submission will not be included in the competition.
• We accept films only in these categories, Action, Animation, Comedy, Drama, Documentary, Fiction, Horror, Sci-Fi, Suspense, Thriller and Music Video.
• Films will normally be screened in their original language/version. In the case of a language other than Kannada, it will be ineligible for selection.
• Dubbed versions of films from other languages are not eligible for submission.
• Try to upload the HD form of the film so that we don’t have to ask you again for the film. HD video formats must be either 720 or 1080 vertical scan lines.
• Share the cloud drive link and ensure you will be giving permission to download the movies.
• All films must be submitted in “Digital format” (.mpeg4, Mov, MP4, .avi, .mpg).
• Entries will be subject to review by a Jury panel constituted by this Festival.
• The jury’s decision will be the final to shortlist the movie and will be confidential. Decisions cannot be challenged.
• AKKA’s decision is the final in the selection process.
• The festival will not provide feedback on films or specific reasons for the rejection of any film.
• Only the filmmakers who make it to the final selection of the festival will be notified about selection at the end of the selection process through phone call / E-mail or will be announced on our website. No information will be divulged before that.
• The selected films will be screened on the festival day subject to the available time duration.
• All prizes must be claimed within three months of receiving the notification via email, after which you will be deemed to have forfeited your prize.
• Awards won by non-attendees to the convention will need to pay additional charges for delivery of their award and certificate. A soft copy of the certificate will be sent to the registered email address.
• If you are using another person’s music in your film, please make sure you have their permission and there will be no copyright issues.
• AKKA is not liable for any copyright infringement, or the submitter must sign and agree to not hold AKKA liable for any such issues.
• AKKA has every right to use a trailer/teaser/poster for promotional activities of all submitted short films.
• The films submitted to earlier AKKA Film Festivals will not be qualified for selection.
• The films must be filmed after September 2020.
• Submissions are non-negotiable and non-refundable.
